  1. Scalpel and Byakko are my fav ❤
Scalpel for bleeding with reflex+str+tech build is fucking unstoppable.
Byakko for looks. I like how it looks.
Using Biakko, I killed Oda in 40 seconds on very hard. (Cyberpunk 2.00)
Using Scalpel, I killed Oda in 16 seconds on very hard, and then Smasher in 36 seconds on very hard. (Cyberpunk 2.02 with Phantom liberty)

  2. Haven't finished watching the video yet but I'd be surprised if Errata isn't like top 3. That bad boy tears some stuff up!

Edit: Sam ranked it 2nd. Fell within parameters. Satisfaction found with this list. Excellent job Sam!

  3. I’d argue that mantis blades when using the relic skill should be much higher on the list. The skill is a one shot against 90% of the enemies in game however it doesn’t work properly when using a sandevistan so if you strategically activate and deactivate the apogee or falcon you can have an insane build just using the mantis blades.

  4. Another great video and I look forward to my third playthrough as a melee character since Phantom Liberty. FYI, your video shows Black Unicorn as number 9, but it is placed between number 11 (Cocktail Stick) and number 10 (Jinchu-Maru).

  5. I actually did go with a Witcher style build with a focus on offensive quickhacks, pistols for range, and the Gwynbliedd for hacking all the katana wielding weebs and deflecting bullets while transitioning from cover to cover.

However, given that my character was more or less a nerd roleplaying as a Witcher and using hacking as a stand-in for magic, she had a very low body stat with a heavy reliance on cyberware for durability.

She also used electric gorilla arms as a means to replicate her favorite book characters accomplishments at pugilism and make up for her lack of strength.

At times, I used bullet deflect more defensively to get more offensive hacks off simultaneously.

It is a very awkward build that is intentionally handicapped, but nonetheless very fun since the glass cannon nature makes using every tool at my disposal essential.

  6. Absolutely whack video. You can't test all of these on an incomplete build its utterly pointless as the capstone blade perk means most katanas are pretty much equal except for damage and perks. Properly speced I was one shotting most enemies on hard with Tsumetogi. Putting cocktail stick anywhere but the absolute bottom is horrendous I was really hoping this video would actually be a worthwhile ranking but alas, it isn't

  8. I put the Scalpel at number 1. It's just as good as the Byakko against crowds but it's better against bosses. It does Shock damage AND bleeding which makes it great against mechs and Adam Smasher and it's crit chance is incredible with a Sandevistan. I did "Don't Fear The Reaper" on Very Hard with it and I was taking out the robots in one hit (I had the cyberware that boosts damage to mechs and bots) and I demolished the two giant mechs in just a couple of hits. I took Adam Smasher out before he even called in his first set of goons.

  9. Personally I like Jinchu-Maru the most solely due to the fact it used to belong to Takemura. But admittedly, I still miss the time when the guaranteed crits used to come from a Kerenzikov.

  10. Can anyone confirm that they looted "Slice Em Up "Blade Mod? and where? random chest, reward chest (like Head Hopper and Better Half from Iron Clad quest ?). Beware PC Mod user with mods which automatically removes mod and put them in you inventory.

  11. I mentioned this before in another video, but, while I find it extremely fun, i'm also a little disappointed #1 is still unchanged in the big leap from 1.6 to 2.0, as, while having it be a bit weaker would be annoying for all the work needed to get it, feels like its so much better in both versions that you're putting yourself at disadvantage by not using it for any of the others

  12. An easy way to proc the Satori unsheath passive is to put Nehan on slot 1 and Satori on slot 2 (or slot 2 then 3). You can throw nehan and you will automatically switch to satori but without drawing it. So throw Nehan then hold left click to attack from the holster with Satori. You kind of need to get the distance right because if you get too close you will pick up Nehan and this won't work.

  13. One thing to mention about the xmod chainsword. If you charge up the attack, even a little bit, it executes a straight down slash attack that will almost always hit the head. That specific angle is pretty nice for getting very reliable head shots with bonus damage from the charge attack.

  14. Cocktail stick, optical camo, and sandevistan is actually a fun combo. Active camo, go in, hit everh enemy once or twice, and exit sandevistan.

Its basically the trope of "swordsman does something fast and a bunch of enemies drop dead seconds later".

Granted, I'm having more fun just throwing people off of skyscrapers with berserk right now and haven't played a lot with the new katanas but its certainly fun!

  15. in my testing scalpel is far more powerful if u can spend the resources to reroll your cyberware for crit dmg and melee dmg (this takes a REALLLY long time/money/resources)

  16. Not being able to find a Kukri is disappointing, the idea of making an Ethnic Himalayan V and telling gangoons to "come fight a Gurkha" while wielding one sounds fun.

  17. I agree with the order of the top 3 weapons. Byakko is versatile enough no matter what operating system you use, while Scalpel has the edge if you use Sandevistan. However, I think peak katana play is when you combine the Errata with the Biodyne Berserk and the Revulsor cyberware. The Biodyne, as well as giving you 30% faster melee attack speed, also gives you a bonus 100% crit damage which is insane for a blade that can land guaranteed crit hits on burning enemies. And the Revulsor allows you to enjoy the effects of Sandevistan without actually having it equipped in your OS, so you essentially get the benefit of both Berserk and Sandevistan at the same time. It's still no Tinker Bell which has a 20% chance to one-shot anything including MaxTac, but you can still slice and burn through MaxTac very quickly with this combo, even more so if you use the Technical Ability perk Chipware Connoisseur to cycle through the options and stack as many bonuses to melee damage as you can get your hands on!
