All Scopes Ranked Worst to Best in Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 features 15 different scopes which can be found and bought around Night City. This video features where to find them, a little about each one, as well as which I find to function best! I hope that this helps you in understanding the games scopes better, as they haven’t seen much attention either in the games database, or across the internet.

You can check out more of my cyberpunk content on the channel. I’d specifically recommend my Pistols Ranked video, if you’re after the widest range of compact guns in Night City. (24 to be exact!) https://youtu.be/E6ZOqq341Kg

Alternatively, if you’re wanting to lean more into netrunning, here’s my overview and ranking for all Quickhacks in the game: https://youtu.be/brFKGlqgh80

  1. A useful tip, turn off the damage numbers, not only do they look ugly and out of place in a game like this but more importantly it makes a lot of the scopes where its hard to see the reticle work a lot better.

  2. Yea, but why some of the scopes are different colour when you mount them on a weapon?
Its almost like they have skins, but you cant see them unless you equip them, it must be a bugged or unfinished feature.
Anyway, nice job with all of this, the thing is, they all suck, I just use my smart link aiming with Yinglong, no need for scope there 😀

  3. mister, you seem to have dificulty watching your monitor. I have never had any problems seeing any reticule of any scope in this game. But kanetsugu scope is bit shit thanks to the all red background.
You might also consider using lest TLDR.

  4. I really don't understand why Cyberpunk 2077's scopes all seem to have barely distinguishable colours for the centre-point / crosshair – its like the people in the future forgot that bright colours like lime green or day-glow yellow for the crosshair / centre make for the best aiming reticules! Did none of them play "Counter-Strike GO – 2075"?! 😂😏

  5. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever used a scope for something that isn’t a sniper, the scope already on the weapon just feels much better. For example, with the headsman, I have the option to attach a scope but I choose not to since the recital is already good enough

  6. I use the Add-Vantage and GimletEye on my revolvers and pistols. It's not really ideal, but it looks cool. The Handyman might be more practical, but the looks of the weapon also matter.
Also, Clearvue really is the best for SMGs. Never used any other.

  7. Reticles becoming washed-out or hard to see, especially when outdoors, or when aiming at bright targets is a common issue with many real optics too. Especially on the fiber optic powered ones, if you're in a dim environment, and aiming at something in a brighter one, you won't have any visible reticle.
This is exactly why many combat optics, like the fiber-optic ACOG, also have a black etched crosshair/reticle along with the illuminated reticle. So that hopefully one of the 2 is almost always visible.

However, non-magnified optics can't do that because the reticle shifts depending on the angle you're looking through it (though it's still accurate to point of aim).

  8. Super impressive video bro! An excellent analysis of every scope. Personally I stick with what I find from vendors and random loot, testing everyone is pure madness! 🙂

  9. I would actually say Add-Vantage ranks pretty high for me… cause I don't like using scopes. I pretty much only use it for a gun that I want to be able to make stealthy headshots with, almost always a revolver, and that's it. Because I never use scopes otherwise, the fact that it's light to the extent of being practically unnoticeable is a bonus.

  10. The sight you're thinking of from the CoD series is an EoTech holographic sight. They're kind of similar to red-dot sights but have a few advantages that many militaries are willing to pay extra more for.
If you add a magnifier behind a holographic sight the reticle will remain the same size, while a red-dot sight's reticle would be magnified too. Holographic sights usually have an ultra-low light output mode meant to make them compatible with NVGs. Lastly, the reticle in a holographic sights doesn't have a focal distance, so you can focus clearly on your target and the reticle will still appear clear (it actually appears like it's in front of the gun, at the same distance as the target (hence the "holographic" term)), whereas with a red-dot you still have to focus on the actual dot in the sight (if you're focused on the dot, distant targets may appear blurry, or if you focus on the target then the reticle may be a bit blurry). Obviously, all iron sights also have that same limitation with focal distance, so most shooters are used to it.

In the end, holo-sights are significantly more complex and quite expensive. Most shooters won't usually need or care much about the few minor benefits holographic sights provide. So red-dot sights are significantly more popular with most people, but militaries tend to prefer to adopt/issue holo-sights.

  11. I seriously wish they'd let you preview scopes and attachments like they do with weapons, you finally find a vendor selling the perfect scope for your gun, you put it on and then you find out its lime green with flames or something…

  12. So TLDR: Short-Handyman, Rifle-Mk8ClearVue, Sniper-Gaki.😉Now, about availability…all of these 3 are not available immediately from Wilson @ 2nd Amendment store; you have to finish 'Playing With Time' and then the side quest 'Shoot To Thrill' first before Wilson will have them in stock.

  13. LMAO Add-vantage is my favorite scope as it doesn't obstruct view and dot is pretty obvious. Nothing worked this good at short range
On mid range, Clearvue is definitely a top tier scope, I like it too

btw THERE ARE EPIC SCOPES???? I rarely see even the green ones!

  14. I really really like the Percipient. Everything is so clear in the blue hue and its zoom level really unlocks some good contrast when alternating hip fire with aimed shots

  15. Tbh they all suck. Not a single one has a zoom feature. It's a futuristic game and we are so limited in attachments it's a joke. Look at the Cod series and see how much customization that shitty game has. Cyberpunk needed to have way more.

  16. Nice to see that Militech hardware is sticking with the 'It works, so don't fix it!' methodology. Reliable, rugged, not meant to show off to people who don't know the quality of military hardware. 🙂

  17. It's unfortunately nearly exactly where I would rank the scopes. It's a real shame that they're just bad to Ok, I wouldn't say any are outright good. I would like to see them all have a little bit of rework in the up coming DLC

  18. When I was collecting all the epic-tier scopes the ONLY one I couldn’t find was the Hyakume. Awesome to see it does in fact exist. Guess it’s time to start vendor refreshing again.

  19. Slightly off topic but while watching you use the Gaki on the Overwatch, I couldn’t help but notice, I think the Supressor of the Overwatch revolves with every shot??? Maybe I’m seeing things but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before

  20. As someone who’s sunk hundreds of hours into cuberpunk 2077, I feel like you should just use whatever one has the most appealing crosshair to you. There’s not much difference other than, fov, magnification (which doesn’t really matter since most are close-mid ranged anyways, meaning they’d all perform similarly) and type of weapon it can be used on.

  21. I'm weird, so I actually just like using the optics manufactured by the same company as the gun itself. So, sights like the Grandstand and Kanone for the Ajax and Saratoga, a Saika for the Masamune, and a Gaki for the Nekomata.

I have the Virtual Atelier mod pretty much specifically so I can get weapons and clothing mods without spamming vendors and waiting for days. Also, the difference in color is annoying, so I get a bunch of them from there just so I can switch through them all until I find the black one of each.

  22. Anyone else find it quite annoying that the scopes don't just say what they can or can't be attached to? There's plenty of room for it in the info box. "Attaches to pistols and rifles" something like that, simple. Feel a similar way about weapon mods not saying whether they're melee or gun specific – sure you can get used to intuiting it, but you shouldn't need to, when it could instead just say it. Same thing for cyberware mods too. How'm I meant to know if that's a sandevistan or a berserker attachment before I've used either one yet, when the game does a very poor job of even letting you realise you can play without hacking in the first place anyway? Yeah certainly some room for improvement in this sort of thing.

I think of it like this. If V's at a shop and buying a thing, he/she wouldn't just buy it without knowing what it was, and without asking what it does, right? So in-game, I would know this stuff. So above-game, I should know it too.
