  1. I hate Rogue because of the whole panam's car ordeal: she had reasons to go hard on such a situation sure, but was also obviously throwing her weight around for the sake of it, or to keep panam indebted(standard treatment for nomads, lonely ones specialy). And while she sent V to help, rogue doesnt have much regard for us either (try asking for a real job), it was a case of leting those 2 fuckups dig themselves a bigger hole.
But what absolutely made me hate her was the "reward" for not helping panam with revenge, which while i do think its dumb for v to go for it, if go that way she comes on about a whole loyalty ordeal that is downright insulting: WE PAID HER to get stuff done, she got us the intel and the crew now however i decide do blow myself up its my bis, i owe'er nothing, why was she was implying we were gonna keep panam on her loop is just beyond me. Sure, we would be spoiling her plan to get rid of panam who was trying to get rid of rogue, so the way i see is very much none of my problem who eats who. But again, if i am going to help anybody is the one person who will have a hand into doing the work i need to survive, not the one with the propensity for keeping people on a leash (still think the smartest thing for v to do is not to help with that, just because our deal was done and so far theres nothing between us and panam but that).
Worse yet is the reward, that orange toyota mr2 thing, which is alright enough but then again its nowhere near worth as much than being able to sack a whole smuglers den worth of shit and later it appears being sold by basically nothing afterwards anyway, again she treating us with nothing but scrap. Only reason i got her any light of day is Johnny, not the other way around.
Also, the following is unsubstansiated: but i get the vibe that she might have been involved in johnny's death or something? she worked for no one other than arasaka themselves afterwords, that is more than just selling out its a whole new thing already! Especially since she had a hand into destroying the place, so why hire rogue instead of killing/capturing her is just weird (you are going to tell me arasaka didnt knew?). And she acts way too weird about johnny who himself admits everyone hated him, so it seems to me she helps more out of self-hatred than respect for handy boy, who himself takes us somewhere intresting: if you just are a sweethart to her (as if he grew out of the persona he had) she doesnt really care, but if you are more silverhandy-esque, playing on her guilt she agrees WAAAAY easier. Again, just the vibes i get but theres something there.

  2. Glad Dex took last place. Guy couldn't even do his job and keep eyes on the Kujira? Now, accepting the fact that its doubtful anyone would know Saburo was in town, any smart person would still watch an Arasaka ship docked in Night City water for ANY people leaving the ship.

Its ridiculous that Dex didn't think to do this. On top of picking up a crew of rookies for an insanely high risk gig. Not to mention the whole Maelstrom debacle, where the only one who seems surprised by the Royce v. Brick hostile takeover was Dex. Then, the final nail in the coffin, he put out word he was looking for intel on Evelyn…and ignores the fact that the VDB said back off. No offense, but dude's got no reason being a fixer with as ignorant as he was.

  3. Mr. Hands is my favorite fixer. All the other fixers are rather generic in a way. They all are just middlemen with some charitable or just purely altruistic intentions. Hands actually has a solid goal in mind: swipe the rug under Hansen's feet and take over Dogtown. While the other Fixers are there just to fling jobs your way, Hands describes the gigs he gives V as him shuffling the chess board around for a checkmate. We don't know exactly how these gigs improve his position on the board, but they all involve him helping out corps or getting in good with the people of Dogtown.

The relationship between V and Hands also feels more personal than most of the Fixers.

  4. Wakako & Padre seem to be an example of how the old guard adapt to modern times while still sticking to an old code. They're ruthless & at times vindictive but fair in how they handle things. Personally Karubo Barei does deserve his fate. Look up his entry in the lore & you'll see why. Unfortunately when you've been in the business long as they have the line between Business & Personal get blurry. As for my Favorites it has to be Regina, Dakota Smith & Rogue. Rogue because she has aged best in the business & remains pragmatic & ruthless while still trying to hold onto her ideas. Dakota Smith because she's a Nomad & likes to keep the balance. Regina just for the Cyberpsycho gigs alone.

  5. Regina, El Capitan and Dakota are the “nicest” fixers in a grimy hellhole of what Night City is, like you feel you can grab a beer with them and ask for help without getting sold for bodyparts. I’m a bit biased about Reggie because Watson is my favourite part of NC, I really like her gigs early game and how happy she is when you give Skippy to her. Dino is just alright for no bs jobs with no caveats.

If I was a merc in NC – I would stay away from Padre, Rogue and especially Wakako. Padre has a charismatic and ruthless cult leader presence, who will wrap around any moral question that will suit his perverse philosophy, Wakako has no morals at all, she’s ok with selling Evelyn to scavs and have the same XBD’s sold right on her doorstep. And Rogue if it wasn’t for Johnny’s engram she wouldn’t even acknowledged V’s existence, and if she did I feel like she wouldn’t even blink if she had to sell V to Arasaka (I still haven’t played Phantom Liberty apart from that one gig from Mr. Hands in Pacifica, so don’t have much to say about him)

Dex is just the bottom of the barrel incompetent fixer who uses his mercs as burner phones, coercing two naive and desperate street thugs for a suicide heist, with no intel on Arasaka ship in the docks, Adam Smasher for personal bodyguard and the whole Flathead shitshow, while ignoring the fact that VDB’s specifically said to him not to get involved with Evelyn, which makes me think he was in some way hired by them to stab the whole crew in the back, to get rid of Evelyn and deliver the Relic to VDB’s in the first place.

  6. In my opinion Rogue isn't so great. She fucked over Panam, she is cold and manipulative. If we took Johny out of equation, working for her wouldn't seem that amazing. She isn't bad, but i think that Dakota and Regina do more for a society and are better employers.

  7. Does anyone else hate Muamar El Capitan Reyes? I literally can't stand the guy. I hate everything about him. I hate his stupid haircut. Like what is this weird mullet bang duo you got going on? And who I'm world dresses like that? Dude wears dress shoes with short pants and high socks like did you develop no dress code over the years? You look like the most confused person on earth. You can't decide if you going to church or the club.

And what really sucks about him is how unbelievable annoying his car gigs get. This Reject half brained Valentino is always giving me the most impossible car gigs and then getting mad that I didn't make the time.

Sometimes I just be relaxing then this dork would add a timer out of ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE! Now not only do I have to make the time … I also have time clear up all the enemies chasing me otherwise I can't park in his dumb garage. Ugh. Those missions are so frustrating. If I miss the time I usually blow up the car because Reyes can't ever shut his mouth.

And the nerve of this jabrony to have a name like "EL Capitan"?. The captain of what exactly? Being an absolute cornball?

Easily my most hated character in Cyberpunk

  8. As always, excellent work Sam! I probably look forward to your uploads above all others. Consistently so well thought out & edited…plus a voice born to narrate!

  9. Obligatory comment whenever I see a Displate sponsor, if you care I'd recommend checking the posters carefully before you purchase. There is actually 0 functional quality control as you'll be flooded with samey looking AI generated images, blatantly stolen art or slightly edited stolen art.

If you're looking for original pieces it'll be harder to find but there are official Displate collaborations with brands that should help if you're looking for something from those brands.

  10. Regina is by far my favorite but I hate how petty that one mission where theres a tiger claw running a pachinko parlor near her and she wants you to kill her. She's genuinely surprised you didn't just kill her straight away but she's not really doing anything wrong or dangerous. She could just find somewhere else to put the machines and be fine

  11. I only have one issue with Wakako, and that issue is she is responsible for Evelyn’s death. Fingers mentions telling his fixer (Wakako) about Evelyn’s condition and she arranges for the scavs to take her away

  12. I think Hands and Rogue have to be considered separately from the other fixers. Hands was totally redeveloped for Phantom Liberty, giving him more time in-game than any other fixer, plus his gigs are some of the best. Rogue's such an integral part of the story that she has a larger pretense than any other fixer. She wasn't added as a regular fixer until 1.53, with her own set of gigs to give us. And much like Hands, Rogue benefits from us getting some better-than-usual assignments for our V, the product of the dev's having less crunch and more knowledge of how players expected the game to go.

Of the rest, I can't argue too much. Dex was always going to land on the bottom, no matter what, for the disaster of Konpeki Plaza. Dino gets us the fewest jobs, we don't really get much development from him either. Do get a terrific Easter egg, and a nice car. Padre, I used to think was one of the best but I'm going to have to agree with you-after getting the job to off Gustavo, you realize he's got no loyalties to anyone but himself. Wakkako? It's when you realize you're mostly helping her keep her kids in charge of the Tyger Claws, and what kind of evil bitch she is for what happened to Evelyn, that you understand she's no better than Padre. Dakota, I thought was-okay. She's probably the one, besides Hands, you'd feel you could have a conversation with. El Capitan, to me, is much better developed post-Phantom Liberty and you understand him better. I even forgive him for his whining about me being late with a car even though I'm being shot at by some goinks. Which leaves Regina, who gives us the most jobs, plus her own set of side hustles, and the best single present for completing her gigs

  13. Dexter to me, is the proof that sadly, V and his crew were small timers, I know, and I love Jackie and T-Bug as everyone, best chooms ever, but seriously, Dexter was literally gambling with us, he was doing a literal one final gig, and he was crazy enough to hire desperate enough runners to do a suicide mission, and it shows with certain characters and I think even Rogue let us know that she doesn't trust us most likely she saw us as the young guy with too much ambition but none of the proven track record which I can bet she has seen so many times.

  14. I played Phantom Liberty with my already finished playthrough from 1.6, and when V mentions, I got a fixer friend here Mr. Hands I was excited because that guy barely gave you gigs but was so misterious and when I heard him talk I was like, why all suave all of the sudden.
But boy oh boy, he went from silly and cynical man on his middle age crisis to one of the most interesting not only fixers but also characters overall in the whole of Cyberpunk, truly now only getting a proper face reveal but also him showing true friendship and loyalty make you feel really valued, like man I really feel now like a real top Solo, who cares what Rogue says.

Yeah, I guess I just hate Johnny and all of his associates, except Kerry, pretty tight guy, so it may be that, but I still like Regina more than Rogue, her ideal of neutralizing cyber psychos in order to study them and make sure cyber psychosis could become a thing of the past, her interesting gigs and I kinda like more her character, but Machine Gun will remain incomplete for the rest of time because Skippy is that cool of a character.
