Alienware x17 – Cyberpunk 2077 Performance Video – ULTRA Settings

Today we’re showcasing the new Alienware x17 with a performance video while playing Cyberpunk 2077 on ULTRA AND locally recording with a high bitrate AND using an HDMI output. I’m not going to lie, this is one of the craziest things I’ve done and I’m impressed with this system.

In-game settings are all ULTRA, V-Sync is off as well as motion blur.
FPS is locked around 60fps, due to how I capture footage.

  1. Limiting gameplay to 60 fps at FHD settings doesn't really help consumers shopping between the UHD and FHD display options (nor graphics cards). Can you share a video comparing the two at max graphics settings while displaying the active frame rate for each? That would be unbelievably helpful!

  2. She seems nice enough, but sorry, this video was absolutely worthless for me to accurate guage performance or temps and avoided pretty much most of the performance and settings details one would want to see in a video like this. Will wait for the professional reviews for that should they ever get released. Also, for the games I play, 360hz at 1080P for this kind of money is ridiculous. Show me the 4K at 120hz.

  3. Thank you so much for releasing this video, in my attempts to be thorough, I was looking for videos that speak for the laptop's performance and thermals, I must say, this is assuring and makes me more convinced to go ahead with my choice. Lots of Love

  4. Could you please run some 3DMark Benchmarks, at least FireStrike and TimeSpy? Could you also please tell us more about the BIOS setting where you can prirotize GPU or CPU for your workload? Many thanks and kind regards

  5. Thanks for the video. But could you please do a video of the x17 with the 4k screen option as most of us would like to see temps, fps and such on the x17 with 4k since for some reason alienware would rob the x17 of the qhd screen option.

  6. well cool video, but the fps cap destroys the whole "performance test" part of this vid. Like, its cool to see the temps, but they aren't any useful since the machine isnt under full load because the fps are capped.

  7. Great video! The FPS cap is a bummer tho, I would like to know why it was enforced here exactly 🤔. I suppose everyone wants to simply know the true extent of the power of this machine. If the screen ain't 4k might as well max out the use of that sweet 360hz display right?

  8. Minute 1.. Temps CPU-GPU: 80c – 71c
Minute 4.. Temps CPU-GPU: 96c – 84c.. So? What now? Should we upgrade? Same problem over and over and over.

Throttle and Overheat! Quad fans serious?
imagine after R2 they start to improve their cooling system and then came up with upgradable RAM which is existed in R1, and then they have presented TLC in Bios to tweak system and lower heat issue, and then come up with cheery keyboard and reducing CUDA Core to help heat issue. And Now they are planning the X series as the beast performance with quad fans.. its like back to fix R2 Issue but lets remove the Num Pad this time. And now the problem still exist.
