Action Button Reviews Cyberpunk 2077.

Season One Finale.

Presented with an introduction and seven stories with six intermissions.

This video is absolutely not intended to watch in one sitting. As always, we strongly encourage you to consider this video a mini-series.

For optimal enjoyment of this review we recommend following the instructions given in this introduction chapter.

We tried a more experimental structure this time–a structure so experimental no existing app properly supports it. So we deliver this review to you with the smallest possible collection of necessary compromises:

In the interest of keeping the Action Button channel page clean, we have kept the main segments of the review unlisted. You can access all seven of them in this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJ30Ch0mLmzJH9qX4VsWZUC73YoQqHNkS

The playlist also appears as a clickable on-screen link at the conclusion of each segment of the video. Selecting the playlist this way will require you to then manually select the story you wish to watch while the introduction to Story #1 plays. We apologize for this inconvenience: this is, currently, the only way YouTube works.

Playlist selection is compatible with living room viewing via every video game console or device app we tested. Though again, you’ll need to manually select a video as the beginning of Story #1 plays every time you want to switch stories.

Thanks for watching! We’ll see you again in Action Button Season Two.

  1. It took me a few minutes after watching this video to figure out how to get to the different stories. So basically there is a playlist in the video description. I was just watching the video patiently waiting for the stories to start. I assumed there is gonna be chapters later or something. Usually when videos come out, they don't get chapters right away. So you have to be late to get chapters on YT. But yea, it was confusing. I probably missed the instructions somehow.

  2. Thank you Tim we appreciate you. I'm only thirty minutes in, but I have already full-blown human laughed several times, and had human thoughts twice as much, and if that's not the point of being alive I don't know what is.

  3. I genuinely though the 7 segments idea was a bit. You know? About how Tim doesn't really want to talk about CP2077. And so he'll make an hour long video about a review, about prepping for the review and how you should experience the review, but ultimately there is nothing behind it. Just like how CP2077 is pretty flashy, had a lot of hype but ultimately falls short of expectations. But then I click the playlist and… there they are… I have to say… I'm impressed and a little disappointed that my perception of what this review was was not met. But also very pleased that it exists, and is a genuine attempt to wrangle with the enormity of the game and the melange that surrounded it. I'll have to put aside an entire week to try to get through even the requisite 2 stories and bottom line.

  4. Thank you Tim for your hard work. Don't let the haters drag you down to their level. I'd like to believe there's a lot more people out here that want to encourage you to be yourself, do what you think is best, be well and successful. We're just a lot less vocal because we actually have lives and our own loved ones to look after. Unlike the haters. Peace ✌️

  5. Wow this is a monster, but I think I'll start with parts 5 and 6 then end on 7. They are genuinely the ones that interest me the most and then I'll go back at some point and start going through the rest because I know myself and my curiosity.

Thank you for all the hard work though and I'm really excited for the rest of this! Please enjoy your vacation too! Season 1 of this show has been an amazing ride

  6. If you really want to experiment with structure I'd love to see a review done in the format of an FMV game to really get that choose your own adventure feel. Could even make it about an actual FMV game like Night Trap!

  7. Only Tim Rogers could upload an hour long prelude to a video game review with a total runtime that surpasses the entire Lord Of The Rings Extended Edition. The madness and presumptuousness cannot be overstated. He dared to presume, and I dare to prove his presumption correct. Let's gooooooo!

  8. Thank you very much for breaking down the writing choices for the six separate stories. When you said "don't watch all six," I did have a knee jerk reaction to want to watch all six. But breaking character and fully explaining it wasn't a joke and it was a specific choice, I'm definitely only going to pick only two to watch…. right after I buy and play the game myself. See you again in two weeks or so!
