  1. That was a pretty good go at not being negative imo. I like the game but like yourself I feel that it’s not quite right. It seems to have paved the way for companies to release their ‘AAA’ games in any old condition because the fan base will still pay for it and then patiently wait for patch after patch. F76 is a classic example

  2. Nice video! I agree with your assessment of it neither being a 1 or a 5 star game. Personally, I enjoyed playing it through multiple times. I liked replaying it for a lot of the same reasons I like Fallout 4, and that is mainly to build a character and explore different parts of the skill tree and how they perform in combat and for completing missions. To me, the story is secondary to that when it comes to my enjoyment (though it helps that I did mostly enjoy the story, and liked pretty much all the characters). It also helps that I wasn't super hyped for the game before it came out. I technically pre-ordered it, since I bought it an hour or two it released, but it was a last-minute decision influenced by my roommate telling me I should get it and try it out.

I also thought the immersion could have been improved, like what you said about the city feeling empty. It would have been nice to be able to interact with the city more and feel like you are actually living there. For example, more locations to just do random stuff. Maybe mini-games like gambling or bowling, or other things like that. Or even being able to upgrade your living quarters from the apartment as you gain street cred and start rolling in the eddies.

  3. I mostly agree. Not like we've talked about this before or anything, hehe. There is the part about Pacifica being clearly unfinished, in fact, the further south you go, the emptier that whole area feels!

  4. While the review was pretty negative, I actually agree with most of the sentiments, the game feels unfinished even after such an incredibly long development cycle. Makes me think that they never truly had a real vision for the game.
