The Potato Masher is a $375 budget PC build from late 2014, designed to compete with the PS4 for the rest of its lifecycle. The Potato Masher Pro is a side-series where I drop in a new GPU and compare it against the Playstation 4 Pro.

Here are the Potato Masher’s specs:
Xeon x3440 overclocked to 3.4 ghz
Asus P7H55 LGA 1156 motherboard
8GB DDR3 memory
MSI GTX 760 2GB (Masher) | Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB G1 Gaming (Masher Pro)
320GB Samsung Spinpoint HDD
Cooler Master Wavemaster Case
Arctic Alpine 11 GT cpu cooler
EVGA 430 watt PSU
Logitech KB+M combo
Windows 10 64-bit

  1. And not to forget to mention that PC parts have been more scarce and more expensive like crypto currency mining craze. Also the next gen consoles has been scalped the same with the most popular and sought out GPUs and AMD Ryzen 5000 series.

  2. Give yourself more credit, and don't be so hard on yourself, you made a commitment and you helped me get into PC gaming. It can be really hard sticking to a commitment and here you are. Keep your head up king and if you need to take a break or anything please don't feel bad for doing so prioritize you, your health and those around you.

  3. When I first subbed as part of me just being interested in the comparison between the two. When I began the career path of a mechanic I rediscovered your second channel and I really enjoy that content too. Glad to see what comes out next from you man!
