Well, after the better part of a decade, Cyberpunk 2077 is here… and its brilliant… but severely flawed. Bugs, glitches, economic exploits, errors and crashes plague the experience while it is almost unplayable on current generation consoles. (a platform with millions of players)

Today I will do my best to review this product and analyze through all the faults… it still has value, and how it will be a timeless, evolving world that eventually (if not now) will deserve your attention, and time.

  1. Only one choice in this world matters:

    1) Will you build YOUR kingdom and serve yourself as you prop yourself up.

    2) Will you serve God and submit to His Kingdom. Serving others than yourself.

Get to know Jesus before it is too late.

  2. Great, honest, and not over complicated review! I have to fully agree with doing the Judy and Panam side jobs. Those 2 characters especially Judy just left their mark on me in a way no other games has, and probably will never do again for a long ass time. Judy was my romantic interest and it lead to probably the best ending in the game, considering my choices and life path. Not saying she influenced the ending, but finishing the game with her as your partner was just so special and it all just made sense for all the choices I made. It was such a good ending that I really don’t want to experience the others. And the ending song like mentioned is just soo good! The never fade away cover, my god.

  3. Once I beat this game, Im not making another saved file with another life path. I see no reason to come back to it. It feels like a Dying Light, unfinished in terms of gameplay, barrowing a little bit and not doing it well. That whole "its story over gameplay" well it hasnt done much to surpass Witcher, and its a game at the end of the day and its gameplay loop is the driving force to make you WANT to progress in the story.

Im on PC and unless they add cut features in gameplay AND story, improve AI, on top of a bunch of other things that basically is an overhaul/reboot of the game? Again, once I beat it, I will see no reason to comeback to it. Games good, side content is good but doesnt wow me with all the hype and false promises that were made.

  4. For my PC the game ran fine but even then i think i discovered a new bug every 10-15min just rarely any that where so bad i needed to reload a quicksafe.

I Love Panam's ending and i've experienced 3 so far.. Panam's, Beating the final mission as Johnny and let V keep the body and listening to the Sister.
I wonder however if they game ends any differently when you give your body up for Johnny to use.
Any more endings ill wait for halve a years or so.

  5. 100% agree with this assessment. I'm having a ton of fun with this game and find the world CDPR has created to be utterly enthralling. I very much enjoy many aspects of the gameplay but it is a buggy mess with some design oddities such as the Wanted system and feedback for driving. If they delayed it for a few more months of dedicated bug fixing, I think reception to it would've been almost entirely positive. I'm confident that CDPR will address most if not all these issues going forward. How they handled TW3 post-launch is a promising sign.

  6. The way you described how much you were emotionally impacted by the ending you got is explained so well and I have had this feeling in multiple choice games for years, mostly shown by Witcher 3 that I replayed numerous times and yet I allways go for the same exact story route since everything else feels wrong. And the same experience with the song at the end.

I wanted to finish the game since it was taking over so much time it felt like a bad addiction, so I skipped Judy's and Kerrys side content but now I regret that since I didnt get the full experience the first time which cant be repeated.

This is by far the best take ont the game I watched or read.

  7. I completely agree with this. It's a shame really… I kinda blame the gaming community a little for this mess… And the CDPR cooperate big wigs. It's the gaming community that went bonkers and trolled CDPRs website every time they pushed the release back. Going so far as to issue actual death threats to members of CDPR if the game wasn't released. I think the guys at the top of the CDPR food chain saw this and panicked. The fact that CDPR pushed it back so many times has got to mean something… A little something at least. Then you got the greedy scalpers who have made it almost impossible for the average gamer to get a next gen console and it's the next gen console that CDPR was banking on most of the gaming community playing the game on… Hence the last push back which was after the release of the next gen consoles. I've literally been trying to buy a next gen console (both of them) every day since they supposedly became available for preorder… Several times a day… With no such luck. While I have an extremely high end gaming rig, I do not have a high end monitor. Well I do, but its only 32in. I'm not paying the ridiculous price that big screen monitors have. My TV however is 60in and when it comes to games such as 2077, I like to go big! That's why the next gen consoles are such a big deal. A high end gaming rig for a 4th of the price! Although 2077 plays like ass the game is good enough for me to tolerate it. I'm playing it on my One X and so far I am in love with this game. It's everything you say it has nowhere else to go but up!

  8. The thing is that CDPR dug its own grave. Riding high from the masterpiece that was the Witcher 3, maybe they overestimated their capabilities, and the gamers' tolerance. Combined with the hype that they maintained through the past 8 years, and the multiple delays, I believe that even a perfect in all aspects game could not have lived up to expectations…Cyberpunk is not a bad game by any means. It just needed 6-12 months of further work, before being released. The story, characters and atmosphere are top notch. I play on PC, and I had no serious issues, therefore I am enjoying the game, but for the people on consoles…their anger is 100% justified at this point.

  9. 4:50 "city exists without you" you say but many reviewers are saying the opposite? Most people called anything related to the city including the npcs, policeman, cars, arcades etc. being nothing more than a window dressing?

  10. They should just let the community do the fixes and pay them for it. The skyrim community patches are amazing and work wonders. Sometimes you just gotta hire the right people

  11. This game is 10% what the Witcher 3 was 5 years ago, 30% what GTA5 was 7 years ago….I purchased it at 100% the retail value and now I'm stuck unable to refund it so I can re-purchase it a year from now when it is hopefully 70% what GTA 5 was and 50% what the Witcher 3 was @ 60% what it costs now! Many studios have pulled what CDPR have done and not offered refunds, they have basically kept our money, patched the game a little and ditched it to move on with our monies. Look at Mafia 3, Anthem, Mass Effect: Andromeda….I have a feeling no matter how hard CDPR patch this its going to be another one of the aforementioned cash grab games

  12. This video just captures everything. Its a rough diamond waiting to be Polished. ( Pun intended) I think after the final dlc this will become one of the games you need to experience once. It really gives me Dark Souls 1 vibes.

Sure it is . . . Night City literally ceases to exist once you turn your back on it. Cars, people and cops magically disappear when you look away and then randomly materialize out of the ether.

  14. Just finished the game… and holy. The ending gave me such a mix om emotions. I played it on an ok to bad PC (Low settings, most of the time constant 30 FPS) and apart from some immersion breaking bugs like me reaching something through a wall and then sliding through said wall or an NPC standing inside my car there was nothing really that made me want to quit. The story is good, and although I didn't do every piece of side content I did what I felt was right in the moment (35h to complete main story, will continue to do side quests now). In my opinion, anyone looking for story (like myself) this is a definitive buy. For anyone looking for smooth gameplay I would wait for patches to come through.

  15. It’s such a pity that it turned out like this, but this game is one of the most thoroughly engaging experiences I’ve had in a good long time. There are small character moments that actually moved to such a degree that, for me, is exceedingly rare in these games. The sound design and direction really drives home a lot of the feelings that can be conveyed in some sequences, like that one little instance in Clouds when speaking to a doll. I actually cared and felt intensely invested in V and friends. The fact that scuba diving seems like it was tailor-made specifically for a single character’s side quest makes it feel special. For me, it’s probably one of my all-time favorite RPG’s.

  17. I hear you on the impact of the music. Spoiler follows:

I wanted to try the suicide option before I picked my real option, and I felt exactly as you described. It was really sad, but it made sense. I played through fast and hard, hit most of the main missions and only a small portion of the gigs and side missions. I had a problem and I was driven to focus on that to try to save myself, but after opening so many doors and finding nothing but more dead ends and more questions I ended up down to the wire. The only issue I had with the ending is I was disappointed that not one of the people I had helped considered what V was thinking and stood up for him/her for the choice. After checking out the other options, it's not a terrible choice when you think about how many other lives are sacrificed for your own whether it's several or even one.

I have to say this is the first time in a story driven game that I decided to run a female character, and it blew me away. After playing some of the male side, the female side seems much more impactful to me, but maybe it's just because I did it first. The way the voice actress brings out V's vulnerability is amazing and adds so much to the experience, but her range of expression of emotions is what's really impressive.

  18. For me I completely stayed away from any and all hype.i knew it was coming and I left it at that.i didn't read any new info about it,I didn't talk about it,heck I didn't even know its back story.it was just the new hot game coming out that I didn't wanna spoil for myself.

I love the game.i have about 75hours in it so far and can't get enough of it.everyday there's something new to chase and discover. I do have a high end pc and playing at 4k 60 locked and the bugs just add to the quirkiness and I love them..

Somethings need to be fixed sure.but damn is this a hell of a game that can be played in so many different ways.its fantastic!!!

  19. Bruh. Your review matches my thoughts on this game 100%!

Taking my time to explore the environment and the side content on my high-end pc; while putting up with the few bugs that inevitably occur is exactly how i am going through this game and i am thoroughly enjoying it!

And like you said this game has the foundations to become a masterpiece; which i hope it does in a year from now.
