Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot of powerful netrunning builds but my super secret Songbird build may be the strongest one yet. In this video, I’m going to show you exactly how to build your V to harness the power of the Blackwall like Songbird. We’ll explore the best attributes, perks, cyberware, weapons and more that you’ll need to bring this netrunner build together.
There will be some spoilers for Phantom Liberty because the most important item we need for the Songbird build can only be acquired by making a specific choice near the end of the expansion. But I will give you a heads up before I dive into spoilers.
I’m going to showcase what this build looks like at Level 60 but obviously you don’t need to reach max level to get the most important parts of the build. So without further adieu, let’s talk about how to build our V like Songbird – starting with essential attributes and perks.

I wish they didn't nerf the hell of contagion when they did the rework. Contagion was so much fun pre-2.0 it used to hit so damned hard. Also The EREBUS SMG is so freaking good. When you hip fire it, its basically an automatic shotgun, when you ADS it becomes an SMG. AND it has the black wall gateway hack built into it. Its nuts.
This Cyberdeck is overrated to me. A Lucy build sounds more interesting.
well it is stated in the game that songbird was using a smart weapon, if you find her escape pod and scan the dead guy it will say that he was killd with a smart weapon
Blackwall Quickhack not oneshotting bosses makes so much sense, but I couldn't help feeling disappointed for some reason. Restarted to get Erebus instead (and fix some things I missed up on). I also felt a bit…restricted, since no matter the build, I'd have to use the Militech Canto whilst with the SMG I could use it for anything.
Also, Sonic Shock + Purple Memory Wipe means you can stay hidden for a while.
Does the Netwatch Netdriver MK5 still exist is 2.0/Phantom Liberty?
I run the Canto with max body, bio mon, blood pump, epimorphic skeleton, chitin and the usual ram cyberware. Axolotl is nice too. I basically live and die by having overclock going. You can upload multiple blackwall gateways if you queue them all up at the same time. I use iconic sonic shock to have the first blackwalls upload faster for low cost. It makes it easy enough to drop like 4 or 5 blackwalls, and let them shred through almost everything, then clean up with guns, if I feel like it.
What about T-Bug?
I'm been playing with the Canto and Blackwall Quickhack… it's actually a bit underwhelming.
The info on Cyberdecks is outdated as of 2.0, none of the things you've talked about in that section are correct.
I slept about 2 million days in the game, I never got that message. Now luckily my main was to save Song. Just wanted to try the BW hack before yet another run of the game.
4:56 sorry but this info is outdated. Unless I’m missing something, these details were 1.61. 2.0, those cyberdecks changed. Raven is about spreading quickhacks much easier and tetritronic is about a typical netrunner like using Sonic Shock + any combat quickhack and getting a damage boost. On the upside, the Rippler gives additional ram while Netwatch reduces vehicle hack costs by 50%.
I hardly use the black wall but when I do it's black death
You don't need ram when you have regen perks and cyber wear cool down resets I essentially am glass cannon in overclock and if you end overclock before all targets die you get your Canto reset so overclock is ready again. I have pretty much geared for mobility speed and critical quick hack damage, I can use the black wall but it doesn't sync well with the regen perks so dosnt upload faster then other synapse burnout. My build is void of all guns I use only a knife pure Paul atradies build

I have been doing a "hack" and slash build with mantis blades and quick hacks. I did the king of wands ending so i missed out on this but i guess it's time i committed to the mantis blade build and get a sande, since the reward from this ending will reset the cooldown

Blackwall Netrunner Build sounds fucking awesome lol I have not played this game yet, but I am very tempted to buy it. Turns out after all this time, actually CDPR got an awful lot right with the updates and stuff,

While the black wall hack and cyber deck is kinda… pointless. It’s real function is to turn your Duo of V and Johnny into a trio with V, Johnny.

Wooow wow wow this video is reeeeally off. Why are you talking about (and showing footage of) things from pre-2.0. Vendors don’t sell new stuff based off street cred, it’s based off level now. Also, all ripperdocs sell the same stuff except the ones in Dogtown, no need to go to specific ones.
Netwatch Netdriver Cyberdeck is different now. The stats you show and talk about are not correct.
I can’t even fathom how you couldn’t notice the footage and info is pre-2.0. Very poor work
IMO tetratonic rippler and NW driver is not that great after 2.0, at least to my style.
I would recommend going for BIOTech SIGMA if you are offensive netrunner, or for stealth + Emergency Cloaking I recommend Arasaka Mk5.
But like I did in PL, you can pick up Cyberware here and there, so I only bought just a few cyberware in my 2 playthroughs after 2.0, also no matter where you go, available cyberware is the same for all rippers. so you can kill Charles buck and punch FIngers with no hesitation.
also Kanto MK6 is kinda underwhelming after a while and will eat your health so invest to health regen as well.

Why am I not getting the call from songbird?
I didn't bother with Tech Ability. Kept it at 9 because anything above it goes against Netrunner builds. Netrunners shouldn't gimp their HP. You need the health to burn for over clock. Besides, you'll get enough capacity shards to get decent enough capacity for the chrome you need. Armor isn't worth it for defense. Its better to use damage nullification and mitigation like nano plating or simply blocking bullets with a katana. Only requires 9 reflex.

Ha! I am doing a sort of hybrid build, but my main weapons are the Yinlong, the Ba Xing Chong shotty, and I like Byakko as my third for melee, with thermal monowire as backup. I like to roll into large mobs, unleash some quickhacks, then pepper them with those mini rockets from the shotty, and clean up with headshots and EMP bursts from Yinlong, or I dash in and clean up with melee. Thus far, I haven't had any really close fights. I tend to mop up rather quickly with little resistance. I love that 2.0 has given us so many new ways to build a character.
You get Quantum Tuner if you side with Song, that's a pretty powerful cyberware if you already slotted Axolotl and have the other cooldown perks, it's basically nonstop Overclocking. I thought it was pretty dumb that I have to choose a side I don't like to get the good gear, so I just console commanded myself the deck and the gun. Also I thought it was pretty dumb that the deck can only slot 5 hacks, so I downloaded the mod and adjusted it to give me 7 hacks, and adjust the upload time to 6.66 seconds because why not 😈
I love that you include lore and fluf around builds. It is not everything about the most powerful. It is what you enjoy most.

With the right perks, using sonic shock before Blackwall lowers upload time and cuts ram cost almost in half

Sir, your info on the Cyberware/Cyberdecks is outdated. Availability depends on character level and not Streetcred.. and apart from a few Dogtown exclusives, every ripperdoc will have the same stuff. Also Stephenson & Tinkerer cyberdecks are gone. Basically everything mentioned around the cyberdecks in this video is pre-2.0 and invalid 🙁
For some reason, loading sonic shock right before Gateway vastly reduces it's upload time
