Today we take a look at some of the removed features from Cyberpunk 2077. These are features shown or discussed in the leadup to Cyberpunk 2077’s release that did not make it into the final game. Where I sit at, cyberpunk 2077 has become a story driven game. Where the game surrounds the whole story about V/Johnny. At the same time it felt like it was meant to be an RPG (because builds/level/experience). I have a feeling most of the RPG elements got stripped, or there was a change in direction and therefor it becomes a dull experience in the long run. It just became a simple shootere where you can hack (simply put). I can remember myself playing Final Fantasy 7 (the old PSX one) because I really wanted to do every quest because on how big that game was back then. With content/features being cut, it takes away replay value. And thus in ends up being a mediocre game at minimum. (and yes, I am aware that there are at least 7 endings, but I do not feel the need to play all 7 of them).
The other thing about the removed metro system is that it's referenced in a hidden quest called "The Highwayman", without spoiling anything you have to track down someone and the clue your given is that "they took the metro red line heading south"
I remember having a mandela moment the first time I tried the nanowire, trying to hack people from a distance but hacking them to bits instead
The destructable environments ARE there dude. You clearly didn't test this on any concrete pillars or anything before making this video did you???
Heres hoping they put Dual Wield/Akimbo back in
IT. JUST. MAKES. ME. SAD.
One kindof studpi decision that stands out to me is whenever V goes into a "slow motion" effect…V ALSO moves in slow motion, which makes the slow-motion effect a worthless waste of time.
Monowire might be boring but atleast it doesnt lock you into a finishing animation like mantis blades does
I’m so happy I got a refund for this game back in December. Cyberpunk 2077 let me down so bad while I do like the game I’m still disappointed that the things promised were never implemented due to the higher ups rushing the devs
What type of tattoos and clothing armor did your/this Female V have?
Am I the only one who thinks the hidden dragon perk would've made more sense with the wall running and clinging with the mantis blades?
Well its funny that there is no feature left beside doing quests.
Lol they actually left descriptions of unused mechanics in this game. JFC.
Yeah. I expected some cut content. But its so painfully obvious with this game that i just stopped playing after about half way. Its a dead game. You cant even talk to people. Everything is so directed. It almost feels like you playing a movie instead of a game.
i find it funny we can literally swap our arms, legs, internal organs, eyes, etc out but a haircut is out of the question.. like yeah, no, that's ridiculous.
Wait they just flat out removed the ripping turrets/opening doors mechanic of gorilla arms? That's specifically why I bought them, I thought it just reduced the stat requirement, ugh
it feels like cdpr didn't achieve a single thing they set out todo.
All this made me stop playing. Boring game with bad AI. Nothing new. Only thing I like is the style.
I want the 2018 version!
god FUCIN DAMIT
The biggest disappointment is the AI, which they said is going to be GROUNDBREAKING and RDR2 level
I keep telling everyone that this should've been an early 2022 release 😭😭
Or even make it so certain enemies(ie enemy netrunners or ICEd enemies) can only be hacked by connecting physically with a monowire
Any modders working on braindances?
I like all of what you presented here, shame it was cut and time crunch probably explains why, i'd have waited an extra year to get them though. I'd like to see a reputation system where you have a reputation with each gang or faction, the more you interact with that gang, the more it effects your reputation with them. Good rep means you can do jobs for them, bad rep means they attack you on sight. killing gang members impacts your reputation however killing enemies of that gang improves your rep. I'd like to see story progression require a certain level of reputation in order to progress or at certain levels, the unlocking of side quests for that faction. I dislike the cars for sale distributed around the map, especially as they use the same icon as quests. I appreciate buying the cars are jobs but i also don't like that either, You should be able to buy the cars you want and customise them. I dislike the fast travel system, you should have been able to use the metro to get around or once you unlocked Delamin, call a cab. Finally I dislike so much of the map being out of bounds for normal play. The map is so huge and the game only uses a small part. So many missed opportunities. I hope they enhance it.
I hated the hardcore mode of fallout 76 and the bullet weight. Also it wouldn’t make sense story wise the hardcore mode since you are a cyborg you don’t really need to eat or sleep so I don’t think it would be good or the story need to change that you are more human in the beginning then you slowly put implants but whatever.
TLDR is "the game ain't finished dawg"
Ummm, excuse me, my MANY possible Romances IS a missing feature.

Announced features not currently in the game better not be released as paid DLC. Just saying.
Monowire slices and dices enemies. Don't lie
Being a programmer myself I can easily see how a feature can undergo drastic transformations during the development process.
I can also understand how dropping a feature is the only way out when it's too complex and/or hardware-taxing, thus taking up too many resources for all involved parties.
But I cannot forgive how CDPR are addressing the obvious cutting of features that were being furiously marketed for years.
The ~40-50 min. long interviews with company employees, talking extensively about incredible gameplay mechanics and state-of-the art AI systems is how they shot themselves in the foot.
I think that's what made those old-school devs to leave the company in the last couple of years. They knew very well that the limit of what is humanly possible in a given time frame was reached and the only thing in store for the company were tons of broken promises followed by the inevitable deluge of bile from the community.
Oh, if only CDPR had admitted earlier that they will not be able to write all that code in time, if only they were more humble, if they were honest and just told us they will release a bare-bones demo in 2020 just for the sake of matching years with the tabletop game…
