River is a great character, he has an AMAZING side quest so watch out for that.
"I Fought the Law" starts off some very, very interesting quests.
River is a great character and his sidequest is equally parts horrifying and intriguing.
At the Kangtao transport, those bodies you saw were Aldecaldos. You did not kill anyone there, you only shot down robots as almost all the actual Kangtao people were taking Hellman back to NC. The only Kangtao left person there was actually shot by Panam when he was holding Mitch Hostage.
It was Judy who sent them to you. Judy does not want to do ANYTHING that could be traced back to her. Remember how she reacted to Eve asking her to get involved in her gig? Something like this working with the Peralez would be too high profile for her comfort zone.
So Rhyne was the person you saw in the prologue worries about losing the election due to crime in Heywood, which was where he was from. He is attacked by a Cyberpsycho, but saved by River, only to 'die in his sleep' a few days later. His 2nd in command is Holt who is now running in his place against Peralez. Remember in an earlier episode I talked about how dangerous Pacifica actually was (in the portions that we don't have access to until Phantom Liberty comes out). Counting Pacifica for violent crime, and Night City is the most dangerous place to live in on the North American Continent. Without Pacifica, violent crime is still extremely high (with rates that would if seen today still easily count for most dangerous place to live in the US, and possibly even the world) but no longer top 10 in the Cyberpunk setting. So being able to boast going from most dangerous to leaving top 10 (even if it was actually untrue) was enough of a reason to do a press conference, where a person who had made threats about the mayor and was displaying signs of cyberpsychosis was able to arrive hours after being 'lost' by NCPD.
Horvath the Cyberpsycho has irrational beliefs after a stint in Jail, and one day acquires more chrome than he could have even bought if he had every single eddie he ever earned or even saw available to him, and says that he met someone who knows his worth.
You mention about others feeding those beliefs into Horvath… Interesting.
There are good BDs that can still be found. There is a BD somewhere, that if you watch will start a quest that will give you David's Jacket from Edgerunners.
Question is, how deep does the corruption go?
Oh, and I would make sure to search the desert outside Night City for every single farm you can find in your spare time if you can. It will help a quest later on, if you have been to the farm beforehand.
If you like the Corporate Lifestyle, there are more expensive Apartments you can purchase and move into. I think if you go to your computer in your apartment, and click on the Net, it will have an app that will show you the available apartments.
Ohhh, I look forward to when the Peralez's reach out to you again. That is when you start going down the rabbit hole.
Brendan was demonstrating AGI level Intelligence on a system that should not have been able to handle an AGI level of AI. Such an AI, would have eventually have been destroyed by Netwatch if Netwatch ever found out about him.

I say second best because I used to work at a place where the vending machines sold full meals. They were restocked 3 times a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very unhealthy, but also very tasty!

This quest was the 1st in the game that really got me thinking, and I love that. turns out though, there are TONS of quests as deep and twisty topsy turvy as this one to be found in the game. The "Sinnerman" quest and River's quests come to mind offhand, but there are more than that. The cyberpsycho encounters also offer a lot of worldbuilding flavor if you make sure to scour them for shards. Same with the NCPD side hustles for that matter!

Did you know you can mark people by looking at them in your scanner and hitting R3? This allows you to keep track of them even when they're out of your line of sight.
This episode had it all: political mystery and intrique, your handsome cat, and Theo fighting for Brendan. He's amazing!
Theo is one of my favorite minor NPCs.
You haven't really shown what sort of cybergear you have, but you have A LOT of money and should be spending it on top-of-the-line gear.
Oh, one other thing: if you haven't noticed yet "time" doesn't really matter. You could wait a week between Judy saying she'll meet you and actually meeting up with her and the game wouldn't care. The only thing it really cares about is "time of day" so you just have to be at a spot around a suggested day at ANY time.
In other words, you don't have to meet with Judy right now. You can go do whatever you want and the game will wait.
River's quests are genuinely some of the ones that have stuck with me most since playing. They're incredibly intriguing. Definitely sucks to lose Brendan, but I think the choices you made were the right ones.
I see she hasn't picked up the Guts yet. The extremely overpowered shotgun that was in the Anime Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners. It's literally lying in the middle of one of the parks where it's later user it. There is also that yellow jacket with the BD that has a scene straight out of the Anime, well you start with the BD first and get the Jacket later.
You did the Peralez mission right away, nice. River is cool, it seems he's one of the few cops who do actual police work in the city. You're right, all the main characters are great and an important part is of course the good voice acting. It was sad to lose Brendan, he was so nice.

Yep that title screen is so awesome, and the music is just chefs kiss. I may be the only one but for me i think Elizabetha Peralez has the most beautiful character model in the game. She has this mature and elegant and confident vibe about her. I can't wait for part 15 and see more of judy . As always your the best Big Sister.
