The version tested was 1.6.0.0. The graphics options such as Depth of Field and Motion Blur were enabled for the footage in this video.

Xbox Series S performance mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 1920Γ—1080 and the lowest resolution found being approximately 1422Γ—800. FSR 1.0 appears to be used to upscale the image to 1920Γ—1080. Xbox Series S also seems to be using Variable Rate Shading.

Xbox Series S in performance mode has some graphical cutbacks compared to Xbox Series X in performance mode such as: reduced texture quality (this applies to both modes), shadow quality and crowd density https://bit.ly/3RIME9C

  2. I can't believe people think this is acceptable in 2022…my god y'all are okay with a sub 900P image for the most part in the game??? What if future intensive UE5 games or fully raytraced titles be dropping as low as 600-700P just to get 60FPS???? Y'all will be okay with that too??? Jeez, raise your standards.

Might as well enter PS2 era resolutions for giving 120FPS modes at that too lmao.

All i wanna say is no magical upscaling techniques can save this poor console,be it vrs or fsr or whatever. With the native amount of pixels you have to work with being deaad low in the first place place(800P-900P in most games),no amount of sharpening filters or upscalers can save the blurry image.

Y'all preaching this "little beast" for this pathetic perfomance have no right to complain when true-next gen demanding games will be dropping below 720P in a few years cause that's what is gonna happen.

Next-gen only in name but not perfomance, even this perfomance mode came from begging to the devs themselves when they stated that it was not possible in the console months back.

Now,y'all series S owners should ask for a raytracing mode cause it looks like CDPR listens right? They are dropping last gen too hahaha.Better go complain on twitter about ray tracing mode and they will take it to 500P just to get a RT mode πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

This is a pathetic asss console with crippled RAM,i don't think 60FPS modes for XSX/XSS only games in the future will be possible at all unless y'all keep asking for it(It worked with Dying light 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 so might as well complain for every game so devs will work extra long just to update a 60FPS mode for this console)

Even with the mountain of additional cutbacks and dynamic scaling with VRS+FSR it stills can't lock 60FPS,what a joke of a console.
