STOP DEFENDING CYBERPUNK 2077

I really don’t understand why so many people were so quick to forgive CD Projekt Red after Patch 1.5 when it barely did anything to fix the main issues that we original had with the game.

  1. I'm thankful for your video on this game I'm still not going to buy it on console. Due to how bad it is whatever software it's on. Plenty of other games around but, also plenty of toilet flushed games that for some reason get defended, sorta scammed etc. Again all I can say is Thank you vault I salute you.

  2. There are so many other issues with the game that I touched on but cut out for the sake of brevity but here are a few.
    1. Lack of vehicle customization
    2. Lack of actual real choices that impact the story in an interesting way
    3. NPC AI is still bare bones in comparison to the intricate day/night cycle they promised
    4. Character customization doesn't allow for multiple body types even though there are multiple body types for NPCS and it was claimed it would be expansive
    5. Lifepaths are completely pointless, you can close your eyes and select one at random and play the game, it does not matter
    6. Game breaking bugs causing game crashes consistently to this day
    I'll add to this list

  3. I reckon my PC is more than beast enough to run this game well and enjoy it when it blossoms to its full potential.

But as a man of principle, I'm not about to reward CDPR for sloppy work and broken promises. Granted, the former isn't the development team's fault, since the publisher ran them through the meat grinder even though they promised there'd be no crunch. Now I'm not Jim Sterling, I find crunch distasteful but that in itself isn't going to prevent me from buying something. Sometimes there's great suffering involved in making great art – just look at any horror or action movies where the actors were put in very real peril just to shoot a scene they only had one shot for, like Suspiria.

What I'm saying is, CDPR needs to take a good hard look in the mirror and ask themselves how they got as far as they did, and how they went about fucking all that goodwill up. I heard somewhere(maybe on here) that they're going to be throwing everything they got at their next Witcher game. All I gotta say on that is this – CDPR, you can't afford to be artsy and experimental. Just treat it as an expansion of Witcher 3, give it a fresh coat of paint, and treat the rest as paint by numbers. Witcher 3 is one of my favorite games of all time, even if it struggles like mad to run properly sometimes. Just give us more Witcher 3 for your sequel, and you'll be in like Flynn.

  4. I've only really jumped into it after the latest patch on Series X and I'm really enjoying it, it's obvious it had no business being released on anything other then the new consoles and PC but they didn't want to lose out on all that money.

  5. Yea screw cdpr I hate the Witcher, and this game is just laughable. I got caught up in the hype train but I didn’t pre order or buy thank goodness. We gotta stop hyping shit up and pre ordering games these companies are just manipulating/scamming us

  6. Defend what? When CP2077 was first released it was almost universally despised. If the same mentality existed for No Man's Sky even months after launch, we wouldn't be getting the content of No Man's Sky today. You really are a dumbf*** for saying the things in this video. Sure, the game launched with a shit tonne of bugs but CDPR made sure they fixed it and made it 'good'. No one is 'defending' the game, we're supporting the decency of CDPR of trying to make it right.

  7. Eh you make some good points in the video…buuuuttttt at the same time i and probably many others still enjoy playing the game. They fucked up at launch and we all know they been paying the price for that, and they are taking their sweet ass time actually adding major content to the game, but thats fucking fine. Many mistakes will lead to a great success. We wouldnt be seeing any of this if they had made the decision to delay the games release for another year or so.

  9. Damn never thought about it that way. You right. Cyberpunk left a bitter taste in my mouth. With all it's crashes and glitches ruined the game for me even on next gen I can still taste it. Plus I'm a big fan of choice heavy story's which this lacked so much of

  10. Instead of whinging about one company doing something sketchy, why don't you confront the underlying problem – Capitalism and the incessant pursuit of profit to satisfy their shareholders.
They, and every other company, are obliged to make as much money as quickly as possible for their shareholder – if that means ignoring the Devs and releasing something before it's finished then so be it.

  11. I can't disagree with you. I believe cdpr dev team could have released the game they promised, I believe This was deliberate because the dev team was upset that they were being rushed to complete this game, so they released this knowing the higher ups with get all the backlash and they would play victim. Look at the dev teams replies to fans asking why certain things of this game type were not in the game. This dev smart was such a a$$hold he compared cyberpunk to the upcoming open world sonic game. When fans asked for a metro system to be put back into the game. Dev team no we won't be able to do that.
Those a bunch woke idiots playing victim at the fans Expenses.

  12. i was saying the same thing. dont get me wrong i have somewaht enjoyed the game since 1.5. but that doesnt mean ive forgotten the travesty of the initial launch and everything that was cut.
Lets not forget the fact that goddamn cyberware is barely visible on your body aswell.
All in all, 1.5 was a step in the right direction but there is still a lot of work to be done, im just hoping CDPR havent seen this recent positive light as an excuse to let off the gas and slow down now.

  13. Maybe people just like the game? How much longer can youtubers like you milk the CDPR hate bandwagon for easy views? What's done is done and I'm sure they've more than learned their lesson from the voluminous totality of all the low hanging fruit criticism they've received. Also what parent in their right mind is going to buy cyberpunk for child?

  14. The interesting thing is that I had a lucky run on ps4. The game didn't run too bad, but I get your point. You also have to take into account that they were hacked and had their source code stolen. So they probably had to fix that. This story is the same as fable. Lot's of promise, but fell a tad bit short.

  15. I think it's the same issue that surrounds No Man's Sky. People love redemption stories more than they actually love games. No Man's Sky is "redeemed" because they constantly add pointless grind islands. They still haven't fixed the game in any meaningful capacity. They just added more disconnected stuff to do. It's still a boring game with many glitches.

  16. I've been playing the game on and off (purchased on sale for half the original price) for about 3 months now. I came in at patch 1.3. While there are things that I have enjoyed about the game and fantastic story missions, it is still nowhere near where it needs to be. The truth is, if it were not for a dedicated modding community, I would have stopped playing. CDPR is in its debt. I would never write off someone's take or experience with this game. I would never talk someone out of cursing CDPR's name. They deserve all the hate. Just like they owe the modding community for bettering Cyberpunk, they owe all the PS4 and XB1 players their money back with interest. CDPR has so much to answer for. I don't want to even see another Witcher or anything from CDPR until they address this game that even after that beefy patch, is still problematic. It is still glitchy/buggy and it kills immersion. The fact that they even released a patch for RTX, something most people can't even run well or at all, is another slap in the face. I totally understand why you feel the way you do.

  17. I agree, the game was certainly developed for the last gen consoles. Which is why I purchased it for my PS4 Pro at the time because of the difficulties of getting a PS5 at MSRP back then. When the game crashed on my PS4 Pro four to five times I put it back in the case, where it has been until this day. I had hoped the game would be patched (like No Man Sky), until it was discovered just how broken the game was on launch. Plus, I gave up trying to secure a PS5, I took my money and purchased a high-end gaming laptop with maxed specs instead. So, will I buy Cyberpunk 2077 for my pc now? Ah. Hell. Nah! They don't get to double dip in my wallet.

Personally, I will never let these corporate run game companies think I'm that thirsty for their product by buying it twice! That I'll forgive and forget, let bygones be bygones? I'm not in a relationship with CD Projekt Red (or any other business). Forgiveness and second chances are for my friends and family, not for some cold business entity. This was a consumer transaction, the trust was broken when the product wasn't as advertised, far from it. Basically, I value my money so, making a lot of promises to 'fix' what should have been already in there says a lot about your business practices. You know how bad your game is when Sony not only removes it from their store, but reluctantly gave refunds!? Like Public Enemy said, 'Can't Truss It'.

  19. Dude, seriously..just grow up and move on already. Can't believe people are still butthurt over this. You're only disappointed because you hyped yourself before the actual game was even presented. It's your fault for getting expectations about something that at that time no one even knew wtf this game was supposed to be. Also, who's to blame for still pre-ordering games and buying them day one when knowing very well how this industry is going. Is not CDPR who ruined this game, is people's ignorance that allowed this kind of business to become the norm in the first place.
