  1. To be honest, the most surprising thing about this is not the article itself, but that it comes from Paul Tassi, who used to trash Cyberpunk 2077 A LOT, if memory serves.

EDIT: The general opinion on Cyberpunk seems to be turning for more positive, judging by the comments here. That's good to know.

  2. Well, I personally don't care about GTA online and the single player campaign hasn't received any extra content whatsoever, so at this very moment, I definitely prefer Cyberpunk over GTA V.
The two games overall are a bit difficult to compare anyways since they're not that common in many ways. I personally would compare Cyberpunk to something like Fallout and Borderlands instead since the general gameplay is more in line with those.

  3. It's kinda true ,Carl Trevor and Micheal are literally the most unlikeable characters I've ever played in any sandbox game ,cyberpunk 2077 will suck more because A it's an empty open world looter shooter(some could say farcry clone minus the activities) labeled as an RPG and B Cyberpunk 2077 is not a sandbox game.

  4. I mean… yeah. GTA has better sandbox elements. Cyberpunk has better everything else.
All Cyberpunk needs is to make police more fun to mess with and run from, make civilians act more like actual people, and add some crime side-activies like robbing shops and shit like that, and then it'll be equal-or-better than GTA V in all aspects

  5. In my opinion.. you'd play GTA V for a quick laugh.. cause some mayhem, steal some cars, fuck shit up.. etc..
Cyberpunk 2077, on the other hand, I play it to lose myself in a beautiful city with a great atmosphere and cool characters. As well as fuck shit up LOL. GTA V does a lot of gameplay-related things better, but Cyberpunk's theme / genre is very unique and original. It's deep, dark and makes you think about life.. just how I like it 😉

  6. Never even attempted a second playthrough on GTA V. I completed to 100% back when it was out only on the PS3. And then I played a lot of online doing motorbike/car stunts. But that's because the first day I went into online, a modder gifted my billions if not trillions of money and could buy everything. A short while afterwards they disabled being able to give others money. On CP2077, a singleplayer game, I'm over 230 hours in and on my second playthrough and there's still so much more to come to this game. The gameplay loop is just more enjoyable to me.

  7. Excerpt from the article:
"I know there is technically more to do in Los Santos, minigames, property to purchase, and yet Night City remains a place I want to actively spend time in, which I can’t say is true for GTA’s world."

That's kinda the whole point – there is no way to spend time actively in Night City, because it lacks all those things. It is more visually intriguing then Los Santos, but in terms of being actuall better in-game city I don't think this argument holds.
