Cyberpunk 2077 is a game about Keanu Reeves. It takes place in Night City and its surrounding area in an alternate future of the USA. This is going to be a 100% completion playthrough on “Very Hard” difficulty. Expect new videos early on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until the playthrough is complete.

  4. 1:00:36 Yeah, you're gonna enjoy that Curio video I mentioned some time back when you're done with this game. Suffice to say, they have a few things to say about the Swedenborg-Riviera thing, and some harsh comparisons to make between Cyberpunk 2077 and Disco Elysium.

    I feel bad that I keep dumping on them, but my read is CDPR has nothing to say about any of it. It's all about the aesthetics; the cyberpunk genre is anti-establishment, so Johnny is a cool rockerboy pseudo-anarchist who blows up the corpos, but he has no actual ideology that can be identified beyond 'rebellion is cool'. The cyberpunk genre has evil Japanese corporations, so the Arasaka corporation is there to be generically Japanese and evil. And so on.

    It's not supposed to be saying anything, and it's not really supposed to make you think about alternatives. It's just a cyberpunk theme park.

  5. Neokitsch 2077. Doesn't matter what you're doing, so long as you look cool doing it. That's why it has nothing coherent to say beyond "corps bad".
    It's fitting that the only other instance of actual politics (Peralez being the other) just leads to a shitty chat-bot and Johnny "I only know how to blow shit up" Silverhand loves it.

  6. I dunno, Nancy did say she was tracking someone through their hacking, so that did kinda suggest to me that you'd need to do some hacking to find them. I thought that was the game saying "Hey Lyle, get a friggin cyberdeck" XD

  7. Also, you did get more information on who hacked the fortune teller – If you read the message from the caravan, a "black guy with dreads" installed the router at the caravan pretending to fix his antenna. So maybe there was more hints near the other routers that you simply missed?
