Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 Update With No Graphics Card

Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.1 just launched and I decided to try an dplay in on Intel Ires Xe integrated graphics which has a total of 768 shaders clocked up to 1.5GHz for a maximum of about 2.3 TFLOPs of compute performance, which for comparison the Arc A770 flagship GPU from Intel which I would consider to be pretty comparable to the RTX 4060, has 4096 shaders clocked up to 2.4GHz for a total of about 19.7 TFLOPs, or roughly 8.6 times higher theoretical compute performance.

But the biggest oof is that the Arc A770 has 16GB of GDDR6 for a total memory bandwidth of 512GB/s whereas the Integraded option in the 13900H has to use just 3200MHz DDR4 in this PC which allows for just 51.2GB/s

So basically the Arc A770 has 10 times more memory bandwidth…

  5. Tbh, I think it’s great to see how far along integrated graphics has come💪👍 in the past 4 or so years compared to the original Intel igpus 🤦🤦‍♂🤦‍♀🙈. While igpus will never replace a dedicated GPU for a proper gaming pc, the fact it can game with older AAA titles of 2010’s etc so still a marvel to behold 👍😇. AMD has definitely led the charge with high performing APU’s and recent Z1Extreme CPUs for portable handheld gaming systems and I feel they will still improve over time.

  10. Nvidia confirmed they are no longer a graphics company and are now officially just an AI company. I knew this was going to happen soon. I just didn't expect it to happen so rapidly. Expect the gaming market to go even more downhill from here now. It's safe to say PC gaming is dead or is dying. The PC gaming market is in such a fucked up state that even competition won't save it. I am just fed up with this retarded AI shit. This AI boom has made Nvidia put all its time and effort into AI. They could make lots of money from gaming as well if they decide to put some effort into releasing decent gaming GPUs at reasonable prices. They couldn't care less, though. These companies treat gamers like animals, despite gamers being the main reason why they are a huge success. It's really sad and daunting that PC gaming will likely not exist in roughly five years from now. Rockstar Games hasn't announced a release date for GTA 6 on PC, and, to be honest, I think they are better off skipping GTA 6 on PC. There's no point in releasing all these games to PC if the hardware is not going to progress because Nvidia and AMD don't give a fuck about gaming.
