CD Projekt RED has allowed me to play Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.0 ahead of launch, alongside Phantom Liberty… so here’s my thoughts on the game changing update that we’ve all been waiting for. Is it worth the wait?

  1. Did they fix the character shadow Apoqsi? Does it showcase your V's hair and such dynamically? What about the climbing animation? Does the hands still clip through the ladder bars?

  2. Did they implement partial reloads?
It is pretty frustrating when you see your character insert a new magazine into your first weapon but switch guns before the full animation is complete, only to come back to the original gun and start the reload process from the beginning.

  3. Yet more content emphasizing changes that promote melee net runners, and confirmation that Jack of all trades mater of none builds are dead. Really am disappointed with the content people are putting out, really not impressed and probably gonna feel crapped on with the builds I run with 2 platinums and 8 game completions with over 10,000 hrs played to perfect my builds and enjoy the game.

  4. Look, the reality is a first person shooter which is factually what Cyberpunk 2077 is, will never be an RPG. No matter what anybody says, the fact is this, the 2.0 update may change a lot of things about the game, but it does not and will not change the core genre and experience of the game. It's just the reality.

  5. Completely revamped vehicle system and yet no vehicle customisation. Once again, re-working something that already exists, factually doesn't change anything, it just builds extra stuff upon it.

  6. Did the new cyberware overhaul include the addition of some cosmetic cyberware? I've really been hoping we can see more of the stuff we install, like different mechanical eyes/face parts and body parts etc.

  7. played the game for about 20 hrs at launch and couldn't get past the bad performance and bugs. Can't wait to try again with 2.0. Very excited to see this game catch up to the original hype.

  8. do the mission where you chase a car, for example, the delamain one where you follow the car around while the ai talks to you… does the car still move on rails and is impossible to stop it even if you crash in front of it, they just continue like nothing ?……… what about the quest whith the races?… the cars still teleport bahind you bevause the ai was so bad that they have no idea where to move?

  9. None of the 2.0 impressions from other youtubers have mentioned the dash key, that's so nice to hear. I like to make my key bindings most similar to other games as possible, and it was certainly difficult without a mod (that broke every update) to do this in cyberpunk. Also no one else mentioned car related perks! Also great to hear

  10. They are adding features that should of already been in the base game 2 years ago and people are praising CDPR like they are the best studio in the world now. This small DLC is being way too overhyped, especially when the features they are adding are nothing major or game changing, the game is still a glorified looter shooter with unrealistic combat and bullet sponge enemies. Of course there are a bunch of people who have early media access under a trade agreement hyping the game up. This is oddly reminiscent of Cyberpunks original overhyped launch, make of that what you will.

  11. I think instead of making healing on cooldown, they could've made it part of a "soft" cooldown that punishes spamming heal by reducing the healing effect they get while giving them debuffs each time they use heal within a period. Eventually, they would stop getting healed and only get debuffs and start to take damage instead. This could've been called "Overdose", with various debuffs around it, maybe at the 2nd heal, it only healed 50% and was 25% slower and the 3rd heal will heal 25% and is 50% slower, and at the end of the heal, it would slowly tick back down, making it temporary health. It would still function as a cooldown for the heal and it would still be effected by the same perks that reset heals but it allows for more options for the players and it also makes it feel more fitting in a cyberpunk world.

  12. dude!!!! I'm so excited for this update. UI/UX was something that had messed with me since launch, and always got in the way of me fully sinking my teeth into the universe. Can't wait to see your no spoiler review, and to play! -norage

  13. Can you elaborate on crafting? Considering the fact that judging by the build planner Skilltree, crafting is no longer linked to tech skills, it it in the technique XP bar at the bottom left of the menu at the moment? Like at level 5 proficiency you unlock uncommon crafting, at 10 rare, 15 epic and 20 legendary? If so how long does crafting XP take to grind? Or more to the point, how expensive is it in materials?
