Quest Director plays Cyberpunk 2077! #60

Patch 1.61 has dropped, so we have met to talk about it and play Cyberpunk 2077!

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling, and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.

My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in the AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

  1. Always looks forward to These. I do have a question regarding Side content I Know few streams Ago you talked about some players not doing side content. After Playing AC Vahalla for 85 hours I have to say I think one reason for not doing side quests after awhile is they felt like they were never ending So I stopped doing them and just wanted to finish the story which i Still have not done. I feel like the amount of Quests might be overwhelming for some. I know devs do not hid content as its hard to justfiy having content players will not see. But I think You Guys could Have 5 or so side quests marked on the map and have the rest hidden that way it may not feel as tedious were you feel like you are doing a checklist. Also I think With Vahalla just because you Mark things on the map does not mean players will even do it anyway. So I do hope to see more games have more hidden content.

  2. At the time writing this comment there are 360,806 downloads on one of the 3rd person mods on nexus and i bet the number would've been much higher if the animations were more refined and i double bet the number of downloads would ve passed 1 million if mods were available on console for cyberpunk same as skyrim or fallout. 3rd person toggle mod is one of the first mods that modders jumped to make and gamers to download when the game released. I really wish you beautiful and talented CDPR developers can see the demand and the need to a big portion of the players of cyberpunk for a 3rd person option at least for exploring and when engaging in any sort of combat or quest to go to first person automatically!

  4. I should really make a list of things I wanna say, because I keep forgetting 😅😂 One thing I requested on stream, but I believe you didn't see, was about the new radio station coming in the expansion. I'm not sure what genre of music it will be exactly, but I'd really appreciate it if you guys could add some high-energy electronic bangers which have already been used in the CP2077 media before. Such as:

    1. Diego Cichy Don – Juss Wine (P.A.F.F. Remix) from Edgerunners anime. I'd love to f*ck some shit up to this song, especially because we've been told vehicle combat is coming at some point. Here's another example…

    2. DJ Hyper – Spoiler , as featured in CP2077's E3 2018 Trailer. Remember the one that starts with V on the tram? Of course, you do 😂😅 (Ah yes, the memes!) It would be a blessing to hear that banger on the radio while driving through NC at dangerous speeds 😂 Maybe even…

    3. Archive – Bullets , that would surely bring in some nostalgia, as it was used in the very first announcement trailer and kinda set the tone for the game.

Music is a powerful tool. And some of these are tracks we associate with the excitement that came with the marketing of CP2077, which was next level, so having them in game would bring in a wave of emotions to all players. I understand it might not be so simple, as contact with the respective musical artists would have to be made (or would it? Since you guys already did years ago) to be able to use them in-game. Anyway, I thought as far as requests go, this sounds reasonable.

  5. Agreed with Skye/Angel conversation comment. Its brilliantly written, hits close to many players' hearts showing the loneliness of people in a very technologically interconnected world.

  7. Who did the gig "Family Matters" in Cyberpunk? Gotta be the most tragic and thought provoking thing in the game… Curious 'cause it's got the same name as your quest in The Witcher 3.

Jeden wielki chaos.

  9. Cancelling future updates and expansions for last-gen was a HUGE slap to the face of fans who supported this shit for years while feeling scammed and not being able to play the game properly. It's also really funny how you guys sad you have "fixed" it but you still cancel future updates most likely based on bad performance…
