Cyberpunk 2077 was supposed to be nothing short of a slam dunk for CD Projekt Red. What hasn’t been said about the tumultuous launch of the game? That said, I’ve loved the game since it launched. It missed the mark in many ways, but I personally found myself adoring what was offered here. Now, in 2022, the game is in its most stable state so I returned to Night City once more to see how it holds up…

  1. no updates are going to fix the lack of dialogue choices, consequences or even add the missing features. it was a decent short action adventure game but terrible RPG

  2. When i read comments on and about this game…. it just goes to show how self entitled so many of you are.
Did the game release broken?…….. Yes, absolutely, BUT, you guys have very short memories.
When they kept delaying this game, all you self entitled, inpatient gamer's took to YouTube and Twitter, moaning, crying, bitching about how you have been waiting for years, no more delays….. just release it and then release patches.
So CDPR did JUST THAT! And when they did…. The same morons took to YouTube and Twitter saying it is broken, how dare they release a game at full price and it not work? Because you all told them too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus Christ, gaming has got too a point where gamer's want new games NOW, don't want too wait, moan that gaming is boring, demand companies release games quick….. Yet when the Dev's do this, rush games out that are buggy….. You all moan.

I remember when everyone was talking about CyberPunk before ANYONE really knew what it was about.
I saw guys like this guy and other content creators build this game too such a high level, that it could never live up too it.
You all made out like it was going too be some on going, life changing game, where you could live a life in game and it will never end…. Like a sim life shooter along the lines of Blade Runner, but be the size of EVE.
CDPR never said you could do all the things you guys built up by rumour you could do….. They said certain things, and like little bitching, rumour stirring kids…. You took what they said and blew up too be something else.
You do it with every game due out and it is so damaging.
Just shut your mouths, wait for the game to release, then give your verdict

  3. I had so much fun watching the comparison videos of cyberpunk vs other open world games that came out this decade and the physics/npc Ai of cyberpunk getting beat by every other games including a mobile game. The funniest one was lego city open world having better physics and Ai than cyberpunk.

  4. I've done a playthrough of this when it first came out. I really enjoyed most of it, barring all the bugs & the police system. I'd like to do another playthrough of the game. But I'm gonna patiently wait until CD Projekt is actually finished with all the content updates & fixes for Cyberpunk 2077.

  5. I spent $30 bucks and have probably played about six hours. I’ve played Mass Effect 1 more since 2020. I bought it on Stadia and played it via PC, but refunded the purchase almost immediately.

  6. Refunded this crap back in December 2020 the moment Microsoft were offering unconditional refunds. Only got as far as the title screen.
One thing I just can't ever overlook is the fact they made all the reviewers use canned footage of the game in a blatant attempt to cover up the atrocious state the game was really in.

Not supporting any company that pulls off this crap ….regardless of how the game might have improved since then. In short ….CD Projekt Red had their chance and they blew it. Now they can f.uck right off.

  7. Almost every problem in this game is resolved with free mods (cops not spawning anymore but coming in cars, you can fly your car ect…). Same as with Fallout and Skyrim, mods make me always come back to nigjht city

  8. Game is still way better than most of the games out there but lacks the features they hyped there over promises leads to our over expectations that created havoc for them ….don’t know about consoles but on pc on day 1 I enjoyed the game ….9/10 story 10/10 music 9/10 graphics side quests 11/10 driving 7/10 gun mechanics 8/10 character designs 9/10 rest was avg or below avg for example game physics -1/10 😂 still I enjoyed the game a lot …I didn’t gave up on this game just cause of my love for Witcher 3

  9. I'm still convinced the Jackie montage when you're drinking together was actually all the missions you were supposed to go on together that got cut. and that's how they shoehorned them in, to make it seem like you'd had more of a connection with him. the fact he's in the game for a cup of coffee made his death feel extremely hollow to me. They tried really hard to make you feel for a character who was absent for the majority of the game afterwards

  10. I have to say that although this game looks pretty gorgeous from a technical perspective, has some great set pieces, world building and presentation, almost every other tangible aspect feels like a half baked missed opportunity at best. the hacking is extremely superficial and neutered compared to what was touted in the original footage, the story has a fucking ton of plotholes and pointless "choices" that make very little difference overall. the gangs are absent for most of the game outside of a few key moments and feel like a non factor (looking at you, Voodoo Boyz) and the driving physics, fast travel and shooting are all extremely fucking messy, awkward and unbalanced. the core conceit had/has so much going for it but hype and a lack of direction/proper QA totally fucking ruined what was promised to be a "generation defining" game experience. I don't think it can be saved by a few post patches, personally.

  11. In addition to my previous comments, the game is FAR too short for a game that was in development for this long. I'm disabled and can only use one hand, but I still managed to beat the entire game and most sidequests in about 5 days. You can really feel where portions were cut, too.

  12. I have 2,500 hours in CP2077 on PC. It really is one of my fave games in recent years. I just can't stop replaying it. Brilliant lore, atmosphere, graphics and gameplay variety in my opinion. No game has given me an adrenaline rush like CP2077, currently attempting a Very Hard, no HUD, perma-death playthrough! It's always so fun to experiment with self imposed restrictions to maximise immersion. That's what's kept me going for so many playthroughs. What a badass game.

  13. It's a great first person shooter with a good art style in a nice location, colour coded looter-shooter in the vain of Borderlands but with Keanu Freakin Reeves crammed in late in development Duke Nukem Forever style with a similar effect on the project.
Surprised they didn't change engines 6 months from release too.

  14. Not gonna lie Matty, I'm typing this before I watch the video and think I know where this is going.. The city itself, the detail of it THATS what made the game good in a sense? And that's what saddens me if so.. It's crazy because (I maybe showing bias here as a Bethesda fan) something like 76 is GREAT today and nobody looks and says "Kudos for them not abandoning the game" like people did with NMS.. Nobody excuses their bug filled launches that get patched (Even thought CP2077 made Bethesda games look stable AFFFFFFF in comparison), nobody excuses thier LACK of "High Grade Visuals" to say but look at the amount of player freedom you have??

But we can excuse a game that got NOTHING but the visual aspect and details right?? Where's the ACTUAL RPG they promised?? Where's my augmentation or player dialogue choice that actually matters?? Where is the ACTUAL fraction importance?? Where's the various endings?? I find it weird we're in a time where a game like HFW is considered and branded as a RPG.. And also CP2077.. This is a GREAT ACTION ADVENTURE but one of the best RPGs of the decade?? C'mon man we might as well call PUBG and COD RPGs nowadays..

I'm not making this a Bethesda vs CDPR thing but I'm just highlighting Bethesda is the one the few team's (and arguably best) that can bring GAMEPLAY to fruition.. And we MOSTLY go in on them about VISUALS while skipping the gameplay and RP aspect is nxt to none but praise pretty games that have LITTLE RP and player freedom..

I'm just tired of great looking games set as RPGs so I end up buying this or TloU 2 and im good on the story but I'm not happy with my actual RP part and people giving it a passes as "one of the best ever".. Maybe for Action adventures but I can't say I've actually been satisfied with a RPG in a game since Skyrim.. And I want real RPGs to return not just settle for things calling themselves RPGs..

  15. I hit it for half price earlier this year cuz my friend kept bothering me about it. He owes me. The game is good. But not all what I wanted which is fine. It's the broken promises that bother me. If they didn't make those promises I'd be far more receptive.

  16. I thought it was a great game. But I didn't watch anything until the game came out. I played this game 3 times and working on the 4th and I never play games twice. U get lost in the open world if u want. Glitches yes but that's all games

  17. I got my copy the day the game was released and to this day never opened the seal of the game. I never planned to even touch the game until I got a PS5. I finally got myself a PS5, so I guess I can finally give it a try.

  18. You and I seem to be in sync on why we like the game, as well as our opinions on where it severely failed. I really wished the branching arcs and the roleplaying, in terms of choices were better, or even existent to begin with. The replay-ability is lacking. But other than that, there's much to like in Cyberpunk. It's just not the roleplaying experience I was hoping for.

  19. The game doesn't get nearly enough credit for how it handles dialogue and cutscenes. It's so seamless, so immersive and never takes control away from you. You can basically be the director in your own cutscenes by moving around and framing the shots how you like them, it's incredible and makes it hard to go back to static dialogue presentation in other RPGs.

  20. I played Cyberpunk on a gaming PC and I absolutely loved it. Sure, some things that were promised were missing and everything regarding the police in the game was just hot mess but the story, and especially some of the side stories of characters you meet in the game were just incredible. I mean, for instance Judy Alvarez's story line, especially in relation to the main protagonist when she's a woman is one of the best in gaming. And regardless of which ending you choose (and yeah, there are quite a few), it ends up being heartbreaking. From when I started playing till the very end I was immersed in Cyberpunk completely. It was a game of the year for me. But I haven't played it on a console so I cannot say much about that experience.

  21. Got this game at launch on PC, it was a pretty good experience, it had some bugs, but nothing game braking for me. The game is fine, but the setting, the world building keeps me coming back all the time since launch. Now trying to replay it with a corpo build and some mods and I'm loving it. This game made me a fan of Cyberpunk genre.
