There's no chance that the relaunch makes more money than writing it off would have saves them.
There's little reason to be far fetched: Cyberpunk costed nearly 800 Mio. in 2 parts, Ubi burned 600-700 Mio on Skull & Bones, Mihoyo invested >700 Mio. in Genshin, so this is absolutely possible, especially with 200 Mio. for the aquisition of the studio alone.
