Damn, I just finished this game for the first time and got an ending that's much better than this one. They both incorporate large parts of the same dialogue, but Johnny being a douche in the beginning already changes everything -very creative writing. I am glad I picked right since I am only playing through once.
And then he suddenly changes his mind and realises he fucked up, leading to him leaving Night City. Must have been the fact V trusted Johnny with their life, which always came to mind every time Johnny looked at a mirror and saw V staring back at him. Man, imagine how haunting it must be. To be trapped in the body of someone who trusted you, the same someone you used, stabbed in the back, and got them killed like you did with many others before. He’s not gifted himself a life, he trapped himself in it. Fitting.
I actually had an ending where I went through as Johnny but V was angry with me for not taking over his body. I guess he figured since Johnny can live a full life in it and he only a few months, it was better that way.
How is it Johnny's betrayal.. wtf? He didn't know that ALT was going to make her an construct, and the DNA was compatible with Johnny's, and neither one knew that v was a dead man/ or woman walking. V reaction was the same as Johnnys when he became part of her / him ( v always reminded him that he tried to kill her/ him initially. I like this ending because Johnny got a second chance and v not only didn't die alone, and Because of Johnny's choice, both his girls ( ALT and V) no longer was alone as they both had a Johnny with a silver tongue and a Silver hand.
7:11 poor v. being betrayed by someone she grew to trust and love, having to die twice — and her last wish it to not be forgotten because that’s one of her biggest fears.
“i just want the world to know i was here, that i mattered”
I love V's final line here cos depending on your choices it can be interpreted in two VERY different ways.
"Promise me one thing, asshole. You won't forget me."
If V has a good relationship with Johnny, they hang their head when they say that, implying a sense of grief over saying goodbye to a friend. Their line here also pleads that Johnny not forget V.
Meanwhile a bad relationship is what you see here. They look Johnny right in the eyes and plainly state that he will NOT forget V. No matter how much he tries to, everytime he looks in a mirror, he will be reminded of betraying his friend for selfish reasons. Poetic and absolutely badass genius on V's part
In my run – V willingly gave Johnny her body, and Johnny was the one that tried to stop V because he didn’t want to lose her. Their relationship was of course at like 85% or so
I love how V and Johnny's dialogue changes due to what relationship you have with him! The first time I did the ending where I went with Rogue my V was super upset with Johnny and was convince that he was gonna betray her. But then the second time I did it with a way higher relationship with Johnny, V was scared but automatically was like "We already agreed you would have the body Johnny" and she even fought for Johnny to change his mind when I picked for him to go with Alt! IT SO COOL
still glitchy to this day
This ending is a good payback and punishment if V in your game betrayed Songbird. By the way the only game where I can betray my own main character.
Sucks to be V lol
Man what an absolute asshole Jhonny is in this ending.
Absolutely out of character.
Good video though!

To think of it, V died in No Tell Motel. The whole game storyline is about V and Silverhand coming to terms with the new reality, on borrowed time.
For V, it's about coming to terms with their death. For Johnny, it's to understand it's a second chance and to make something meaningful of it.

Never saw this ending before, wild
Just to clarify, V dies when they get soulkilled, whoever returns to Vs body is an engram, not the original of either person.
Judging for the comments, I am not the only this video is geting viral again this week

It should've been a boss battle. You fighting Johnny in your mind.
It's crazy how Johnny decides to be an asshole to V in the end. And even so, still V agrees & accepts the decision in the end. Heartbreaking 😭
Can you not post spoilers as video title? I only get to experience story once, thanks
My V didn’t react this way? Is it down to your lifepath?
2077 is the story of a man stuck in a woman’s body
man that was something

How do you even get low relation? I've never had low relation in any playthrough
see i have never gotten this because i love johnny so right on

My English is not good enough. Can someone I understand explain the situation?

One of the worst endings imo
Is it just me or does male VA for V sound so much fucking better than female VA
